Here are some sketches I started doing for my next studio project. This concept comes from an awful experience that happened right before Christmas. Our two dogs were found bleeding to death in our garage mysteriously, viciously attacked and somewhat mutilated. By the morning our german shepherd Wyatt was so bad off he had to be put down. Maggie our bull mastiff/ rottweiler was severely wounded but survived after a long and grueling recovery. It was probably one of the most disgusting and inhumane things I've ever seen, and I didn't even see the half of it. It turns out that the dogs were not only attacked, but were shot intentionally by hunters. Although the circumstances of that night will never be solved, and no one will ever be punished for their actions, to me it leaves such a rotten feeling in my soul. I can not believe any such person could be so selfishly cruel.
So with this project I hope to somewhat channel some of that feeling of helplessness and sorrow.
