Rockin' the Holidays

I am working on some fun, retro-ish books for a christmas show, and perhaps for you..? If you are interested let me know! They are great, multi-purpose and affordable gift ideas. Here is where I am at with the bookbinding process:
Who wouldn't want these adorable 70's prints? They were abandoned at a local resale shop.
Album bound hardcovers; 5.5in x 5.5in.
These prints are from real senior pictures from 72'
soft cover bound with ribbon
12pages

All of the books are made with strathmore sketching paper. They can be used for sketching, journals, albums, notes, or even scrapbooks. I will have them finished by Monday, and hopefully can post some pictures then too. Otherwise they will be in Lexington at the East Shore Artist Gallery Christmas Show.

Here are some shots from the Bra Invitational at Studio 1219.

On top of the retail buzz of black Friday, I am busily binding, painting and sketching for a mural that will be finished next week. Can't wait for some mashed potatoes and family time.
HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!!

I dig the softcover ones with the ribbon... people looked better in the 70's. How'd you get the photos to match the colors of the book covers?

i agree, people were much more interesting back then. the photos were printed on colored paper, and the backgrounds of the senior pics were white, so it worked out. Yes books and bras make so much sense together haha
