Oh my god, the water's all around us

Wednesday night Aaron and I spontaneously decided to head back to Ann Arbor for another round of the Low Anthem, one of our favorite new bands. The show was at the Ark, which neither of us had heard of or been to before. This was by far the coolest music venue I have ever visited. It is a non profit theatre that offers the most intimate and personal concert experience. Everyone should stop there for one of their extremely affordable shows and support such a wonderful platform for musicians and artists!

We showed up early to collect our will call tickets and turned out to be the first in line to choose seating- so naturally we sat front and center. Literally we were resting our feet on the stage looking straight at Ben Knox Miller.

The opener was Nathaniel Rateliff whom we have also come to love.

The Low Anthem is unconvential Americana. The four band members are well versed with several instruments and spend each song switching seats and spots for different sounds. Great talent.

During one of the songs the lead singer had lost his pick and asked if anyone had one. Aaron of course jumped up giddier than a school girl.

An amazing night- great music.

I have been harboring secrets like a diary, and soon I hope I can share in the joy of some of them.
Still housesitting and it is beyond pleasant living on the water in my own space.

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Wheel have a new album coming soon which should be sweet:

Also, check out this article with statements from musicians and artists of what they think about the new Health Bill. BKM from The Low Anthem has a great quote.
